Texas Hold Em’ Tournament The St. Joseph's Knights of Columbus Council #7208 will hosta Texas Hold 'Em Tournament for Charity on Friday April 20at 7 PM at the St. Joseph School cafeteria, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335 Registration opensat 6:30 PM. knights of columbus: The Journey is completed......

On May 24th, 2009 I and my youngest son Kevin completed our journey and were accepted into the Knight's of Columbus 4th Degree order. I asked Kevin to follow me into the Knight's of Columbus a little bit after I joined in early 2008. He did so right after he entered Immaculata University last fall. Together we were able to complete our 2nd, 3rd and now 4th Degrees and I could not be prouder. We have joined the West Chester Assembly of the 4th Degree and hope to continue our service to the Knight's by adding their work as well.

I wanted to send the broadcast out to all the Active Rain members who wish to become a member of the Knight's of Columbus Fraternity......a choice I have not thought twice about since I joined earlier this year. Below is the local St. Joseph's Church in Downingtown order I belong and would like to hear how many other Catholic men would like to join me.....there are orders throughout the area, State, Country and World.

knights of columbus: St Joe's (Downingtown) Carnival.....Day 1

I just wanted to give to all an update on the St Joe's (Downingtown) Carnival, run but the Knight's of Columbus, that kicked off last night..... First, the weather was good, hot but not overbearing....Wednesday may be a bit hotter Second, the crowd was good for a Tuesday and opening night.....I have been involved with the Carnival for the Chamber of Commerce for 5+ years......so it was good Third, we were blessed with many volunteer's....and hope that it is the same through Saturday Fourth, the food we prepared was great and everyone was pleased....John where's the cheese? I have always heard of the Knight's of Columbus and that friends and acquaintances have told me they belong to the Knight's, yet I never took the time to find our whatit meant to be a Knight. I took the plunge just about two week ago and have enjoyed it greatly thus far. My new Real Estate partner John is a Knight and I attribute that as another in a long line of reason's why he and I are doing business together today.
