Panel Discussion In Lieu of News Reporting! Enough Already!

Ok, I know this doesn't necessarily have anything to do with Real Estate, but is anyone else out there tired of serious news reporting being replaced by panel discussions? I can't even find a news show that simply reports the news anymore! The last straw was CNN the other day, just after the helicopter crash. Before they even had any details, they announced the few facts they did have and then said, "And now to our panel..." Asking the panel members to discuss the event.

Personally, I do not care about the panel's opinion! Each channel and program claims that they are the "Balanced" ones. They all seem to be substituting hard nosed investigative reporting with discussion. Usually with people of questionable credentials. They also seem to replace digging up the substantiated truth with simply hosting people of opposing viewpoints. I'm all for discussion and I enjoy a good debate as much as the next person - when I am participating.

I am concerned that these programs are being presented as news when in fact they are opinion programs and talk shows. Is there any real news left?

Another Successful Tradeshow!

Fun was had by all at this years Androscoggin Valley Business 2 Business Trade show. The "Green Your Business" theme was a big success and a chance for all local businesses to share and learn about what everyone is doing to make their businesses more environmentally responsible and efficient.

Our fearless leader, Tanya Busch, turned a lot of heads riding around on her Segway. While aboard she is almost as tall as me now!
