We may have close to a foot of snow on the ground, but believe it or not, Spring is on it's way! The Auburn Public Library will host it's 3rd Annual Farmers Market this Friday (March 2nd) from 4:30 to 6:30pm. At the market you can not only pick up some great local food and products, you can also sign up for and get more information on CSA's (community supported agriculture) offered by local farms. Enjoy live music by The Peterson Project, let the kids have some crafting fun, and pet the baby goats and piglets (yes, they will have them (3 comments)

The Auburn Public Library, located near downtown Auburn Maine, is truly the center of the community. The library consistently offers not only a great selection of books, videos, DVDs, and periodicals, but also a jam packed schedule of events and activities for all ages. I just heard about this great program that is actually in it's third year and wanted to share it as just one more example of the wonderful "goings on" of the Auburn Public Library. Each year a group of young artists and writers, ages 11-14, working on their own time after school, produce an original comic book (4 comments)

Mark Your Calendars Now! The Auburn Public Library will hold it's much celebrated and popular annual book sale Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 8:30am to 3:00PM. You don't want to miss this once a year event! Many books and materials are just 50 cents - $1. Towards the end of the sale you can get a whole bag of books for just $5! Join your friends and neighbors. I know I'll be there bright and early. The library is located at 49 Spring Street in Auburn.
