Chandler Real Estate - No need to "fallback" today in Arizona, even though Daylight Savings time ended for the United States this morning.  We are the lucky ones in Arizona, we don't mess with our clocks (observe Daylight Savings).  For your friends and relatives in other parts of the US or Canada, they had to set their clocks back one hour today.  So, if you're calling your friends in California, Las Vegas, or Oregon, they will be 1 hour earlier than Arizona....for your friends on the East coast, Florida, New York, Atlanta, etc., the time will be 2 hours later than Arizona.  To find the time anywhere, you can go to the official US time at www.time.gov.

Chandler Real Estate - Senate agrees to extent Home Buyer Tax Credit!

The Senate passing an extension greatly increases the possibility that there will be an extension to the $8,000 First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit set to expire on Dec 1.

Even though there is agreement among the Senators, a bill to extent the credit has not been approved yet. Also, once the extension bill is passed in the Senate, it still needs to be approved by the House and signed by the President to be come effective.

There is a difference in this tax credit extension - First-time home buyers are eligible for up to $8,000 on the tax credit, which is the same as the current credit. The Senate version of the bill creates a new credit of up to $6,500 for homeowners who have lived in their homes for five years.

That provision would start on Dec. 1.

Chandler Real Estate – Chandler Haunted House

Chandler Real Estate – No, this house is not listed in the MLS, but in the east valley’s list of haunted houses.  For the last 10 years, Kevin and LeNetta Leger have turned their backyard into a Haunted House.  For the sixth consecutive year, they have transformed their yard into a haunted house to raise funds for a local Chandler non-profit.  They have been working the teens and collecting donations for ICAN, a free, after school youth program located in downtown Chandler.

This year the haunt has been named “Nightmare on Kent Street” for the name of the street their house is located. 

The Haunted House schedule is open during the week of Halloween.  The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, Oct 27^th:  6:30pm – 10:00pm
Wednesday, Oct 28th :  6:30pm – 10:00pm
Thursday, Oct 29 – open for special needs community
Friday, Oct 30:  6:30pm – 11:00pm
Saturday, October 31:  6:30pm – 11:00pm; with traditional trick and treating.
