lead generation: Game On - 11/24/08 08:40 PM
Ok folks let's get real...2008 was a tough year, 2009 will be even more difficult. Are you mentally and physically prepared for another 12 months of battling the media, the mental fatigue of buyer and sellers, and your dwindling self esteem?
I have two words for you..."Game On" You know the expression kids use in a bragging way, that's right "game on". It is time to separate yourself from the competition. No more Mr. Nice Guy. The days of showing buyer property after after property until they view every single home on the market are over. The days of accepting any … (18 comments)

lead generation: The New Real Estate Agent - 06/03/08 10:40 AM
I posted a blog awhile back titled, "Where is everyone", it was a commentary how less and less people were working in the office.  Ablogger named, Stewart Penn - West Hollywood Condo Specialist (Penn Properties), commented that his vision was that fairly soon Realtor would only be working from virtual offices.
I reflected on his comment and thought, if he is correct, our industry's standards are doomed. We become better when we associate with others. It has been said that the fastest way to increase your income is to get wealthier friends. It's true, you will have the net worth of … (27 comments)

lead generation: Would you hire yourself - 02/06/08 05:47 PM
Looking back at the last six months, would you hire yourself as your Realtor? If the answer is yes, awesome, go to the next blog, if the answer is no, keep reading.
Are you doing everything possible to be successful in this market? Let's see.
LEAD GENERATION:
1. Cold calling
2.Door Knocking
3.Working your sphere of influence
4. Networking
5. Dedicating 3 hours of each and every work day to lead generating
ASKING QUESTIONS:
1.The quality of the question you ask will be the quality of the answer you receive
2.Use the word "specifically" when asking questions (Specifically, why do you want to sell now)
3. Only ask questions for the answers … (15 comments)

lead generation: Life begins.... - 01/29/08 11:09 AM
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Never a truer statement uttered. To be successful in life or business we must be prepared to do things outside of comfort zone. We must have the strength and courage to change. We must realize it is not as dark and bleak as may think. To have the faith and understanding that we can change our destiny at any time.
The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is ground zero for suicides (I don't think it's because of the politics of the city, but that is another blog) one man who attempted … (11 comments)

lead generation: Do we wish this market was easier - 01/25/08 12:05 PM
How many of us secretly have wished that this market was easier? You know what I mean, we wish it was the market of three years ago. Homes were selling, multiple offers,  3 days avg days on market, etc. etc. This is the wrong mind set. Don't wish the market was better, WISH YOU WERE BETTER.  Oh boy, hard truth coming at ya. We as Realtors collectively have to get better or get out, some of us are clogging up the freeway of success for others.
If you are not daily improving your knowledge and your skills your brain is stuck on … (5 comments)

lead generation: Pretender or Contender - 11/18/07 11:04 AM
Ok, 2007 is drawing to a close with Turkey day less than a week to go. If we do not put a deal into escrow in the next week it looks like no commission check for Christmas and no GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip for the kids. What was our year like, were we contenders or just pretenders?
This year for sellers was ugly, ugly and ugly. Next year, in my opinion the market will not receive an extreme make-over, so it will be more of the same. What's a Realtor to do? Luckily I am here for you, and … (13 comments)

lead generation: Why Real Estate as a Career - 07/24/07 06:21 PM
People always ask me why real estate and why now? There is no better time to get started on your real estate career. This is an opportunity market. This is an opportunity to capture market share. I can not begin to lest the top agents 3 years ago who are withering away on the vine because they did not put systems in place to survive this market. They are in bunker mentality, they believe they can wait it out, they will not, and they will not survive. Those new licensees and those who lived through this before are well situated to … (4 comments)
