The biggest event of all time, the FEI Alltech World Equestrian Event is about to hit Lexington KY in just six days.
It's hard to imagine that over 600,0000 guests can fit into our city for 16 days.
This event will be held at the Kentucky horse Park on Ironworks Rd. There will be shuttle service to and from downtown provided by Lextran.
In the Lexington Convention Center the International Equestrian Festival will run for 16 days also. Starting on Sept. 25th, Open 1 - 9PM daily.

As events are on schedule for the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games there are also smaller events taking place that are attracting superstars for a visit.
Bruce Springsteenand his wife Patti were spotted by two of my favorite clients Cindy and Cazz Kamps. Once they got over the shock of seeing them so close, they actually did get an autograph. Bruce and Patti were there to watch their daughter perform.

The Kentucky Horse Park is really beefing up it's presence for the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games. New widened roads, barns, and the new indoor arena are all part of the plan.
I volunteered last fall for the Vaulting Event that was a pre-view of was was to come for Lexington KY. We were there to practice for the big event this September.

2009 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event
Once again the fabulous Kentucky Horse Park will be hosting the 2009 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event on April 23 - 26th. International riders and their horses will be competing for $250,000 in prize money and a chance to win the $350,000 Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing prize.
NBC will be broadcasting the event for the sixth year. Online and advance ticket sales closed on April 1. The general Admission parking will be included in the ticket price.

Last Thursday I got to re-visit Midway. It hadn't been in the plan earlier in the week but I received a voicemail from someone that was researching to do a real estate article on Midway. Out-of-towners show up to see the horses but Kentuckians go there to watch the people.
Keeneland Race Track in Lexington is quite a legendary place and horse race aficionados will tell you that there is no place in the world like it.
It is with out a doubt the most beautiful race track anywhere. A jewel-box showcase for owners to present their best horses to well heeled spectators and serious horse people.
