richmond kentucky: Madison County KY - Kentucky Horse Farms - Richmond Kentucky - Homes For Sale - 08/22/09 08:30 PM
Madison County KY - Kentucky Horse Farms - Richmond Kentucky - Homes For Sale I grew up on a horse farm in Richmond KY so I can understand the dream of wanting to own a farm in Madison County, many people from out of state travel here to find homes for sale or Kentucky horse farms to experience all we have to offer in Central Kentucky. The land in some areas in Madison County is gently rolling, which makes it ideal for homes with walkout basements. The lands near the Kentucky River have valleys and most homes and subdivisions are built on the hilltops. Many farms do

richmond kentucky: Madison Bank Opens New Financial Center In Historic Richmond Kentucky - 07/28/08 12:29 PM
Madison Bank Opens New Financial Center In Historic Richmond Kentucky History and tradition is thriving in Richmond Kentucky. Downtown Richmond Main Street renovations have all included a nod to the past when it comes time to remodel or restore the heritage of the county. Madison Bank has lovingly restored this building that as I first remember in the 60's as the Begley Drug Store then later was an antique store. This financial center will offer a quaint atmosphere with enhanced services along with a full range of products. There will be a second location added in Kingston Center by late

richmond kentucky: The Paddy Wagon Irish Pub, 150 E. Main St., Richmond Kentucky - 07/22/08 10:57 PM
The Paddy Wagon Irish Pub, 150 E. Main St., Richmond Kentucky is finally open for business in a new location. Third time is charm for the owners, Greg Ferrell and Chuck Fields. Established in 2004 on Water Street...then to Main Street in 2006 for a year a few doors up from the new location. Then it burned to the ground in the middle of the night. The famous fire is still one of Richmond Kentucky's unexplained mysteries. Fire experts scratched their heads in puzzlement as to the cause. "Hmmmm...It could be this...or could be that." Who really knows? All that

richmond kentucky: Paradise Cove...a Slippery Piece Of Heaven In Richmond Kentucky - 05/28/08 10:55 PM
Paradise Cove...A slippery Piece Of Heaven In Richmond Kentucky Finally, Richmond Kentucky has a new public pool! It's called Paradise Cove and is located in Gibson Bay. It features a fabulous eight-lane diving pool with two, one-meter diving boards, a children's pool, two 40-foot tall slides, a wide slide and a small butterfly slide for the small tykes. There is talk of adding a lazy river in Paradise Cove and another slide at a later date. It just wouldn't fit into the original budget. Even though the weather has been a bit cool, the pool is a welcome sight to Madison

richmond kentucky: Two Wisconsin Cheeseheads Escape To Kentucky... for Good! - 05/04/08 08:54 AM
Cazz's Story... Twas the day after Christmas And we looked for a house Around lovely Richmond town With the sun shining down Alright, enough with the poem, on with the story of how two Cheeseheads from Wisconsin came to live in beautiful Madison County. On December 26, 2007, we arrived in Richmond, walked down Main Street in the late afternoon, and fell in love with the town. We found friendly people, especially at Chestnut Tree Gallery. We were given the name of a local Realtor, Lizette Fitzpatrick, and the rest is history. She was personable and got right to work searching for the right home for us. We

richmond kentucky: We Are Waiting For Spring Here in Kentucky - 02/29/08 06:05 PM
So Today...it rains in Kentucky. I'm wondering now about the 6 weeks of bad weather the groundhog predicted. Maybe it is just fresh on my mind, but we have really have had too much snow this year. This frog on my porch table seems to be clearly upset that he has to be hanging out in the snow. I can't much blame him. Chanel is not too fond of it either. It hasn't bothered my clients because I have been swamped with showings and interest on my own listings. Many of my relocation clients for Kentucky horse farms have already been here or

richmond kentucky: Madison County Kentucky Time Capsule - 08/03/07 10:47 PM
Madison County Kentucky Time Capsule Where does time go?? This week I made a trip to the Madison County Court House to register my car and pick up tags. As I was walking on the sidewalk out front I stepped on the Time Capsule! I had forgotten it was buried there. I can well remember the Madison County Bicentennial Celebration downtown along with a parade, games and booths all around the Court House in the summer of 1986. I will have to do a bit of research to find out what was put inside. Maybe it is a mystery to
