Some of the limbs are being held up and supported by cables! Photos ©2009 Anne Rains Photography, All Rights Reserved. I hope this information has helped you! photography: Wordless Wednesday: Playing with Picnik - 04/22/09 03:58 PM
Okay...I'm breaking the rules here a little because today's Wordless Wednesday is not exactly "wordless". But today's photo is one that I took into Picnik.com and added a lot of effects to...I think it turned out pretty cool. If you've never played with Picnik.com you should take a look at it--you can do a ton of cool things to your photos. Besides just the standard photo editing features of cropping and removing red-eye, this program also allows you to add text to your photos, enhance the colors and add borders, along with so much more. Go ahead, try it out...you'll be

photography: Just a Short Hike... - 03/25/09 12:32 PM
Two days ago, we went on a ride in my Uncle's Pinzgauer--a Swiss army vehicle that can go anywhere, it's a very heavy duty vehicle and a ton of fun to ride in! We bundled up and rode around with the sides up so we could catch the chilly breeze and get a great view of the scenery. We headed up Cement Creek Road and went as far as the road was cleared. Then we got out and went for a short hike through the beautiful outdoors! On one side of the road was a canyon wall and on the other

photography: Update on Savannah Art Show and Pictures - 12/10/08 12:25 PM
©2008 Anne Rains Photography Well, the art show in Savannah was a success; I sold some prints and met a lot of nice people! I'm very glad I went--it was neat to see River Street at Christmas. I only wish we had a little more time to do some sightseeing--it's been years since I've been down there and I'm dying to go eat at Paula Deen's restaurant. Unfortunately this trip was a quick one, so I guess I'll just have to go back again, oh darn...lol! Until then, I will have to satisfy myself with making her recipes myself--maybe

photography: Next Photography Show! | Savannah, GA | December 6 - 12/03/08 10:07 AM
Just wanted everyone to know that my next show will be this Saturday, December 6th in Savannah, GA. I have a booth at their Arts and Crafts Festival on River Street. If you are in the Savannah area, I invite you to come out and take a look at my photos. The festival should be a lot of fun with several arts and crafts booths, music and food. Also, the river will be lit with Christmas lights on all the boats. A day of Christmas shopping, eating and enjoying the holiday season sounds like a perfect day to me! My booth

photography: New Photography Business! - 12/03/08 09:29 AM
Well, I thought I should let everyone know that I've started a side business selling my photography. Here are just a few of the ones I have so far. The top picture is my favorite! It was taken on my honeymoon to Charleston, SC. This particular photo was taken at Middleton Plantation, an absolutely beautiful place--we got lucky that the azaleas were at the height of their season when we visited. I just love all the different colors in this photo. I took the next photo on our recent trip to Negril, Jamaica where we stayed at the Couples
