boca raton home staging: How Important Is It To Stage a Room That No One Really Wants? - 03/03/12 04:06 AM
How important is it to stage a room that no one really wants? If most homeowners don’t use, need or want a formal living room anymore, how important is it to Stage a living room as a living room?  I know many Realtors and Stagers have come upon houses where the living room is being used as a child’s playroom/office/exercise/ pool table room.  And in fact, I’d bet that many of us use our own living rooms as any of the above.  Everything but a living room.
In our consultations Stagers often  suggest that rooms be returned to their original purpose....

boca raton home staging: Every Property Deserves To Be Staged... Regardless of Price Point! - 02/18/12 03:58 AM
Every Property Deserves To Be Staged... Regardless of Price Point. I hear this so many times... some Realtors and Sellers  won’t even consider Staging a property unless it is at or above a certain price point.
And why is this?
1.Every property has a set of possible buyers for it... a set based on the location, list price and condition of the property.   And while not every buyer is alike one thing they have in common is that the property needs to appeal to them.  We’re still going to suggest editing, packing, cleaning and repairing no matter what the … (25 comments)

Most of us realize the importance of staging a vacant home.  If you say you don't need to see furniture and accessories in it count yourself among the 10% of the public who have the ability to "imagine" the room.  BUT... are you willing to take a chance on the 90% of the general population who will look at an empty room and walk away with no feeling or emotion towards the room?
Maureen Bray has done a perfect job of showcasing the Before and After benefits of Staging.  And, I applaud her because her After photos are taken from … (0 comments)

boca raton home staging: Confessions of a Home Stager... I Have to Admit...I Was a Member of THAT Group! - 01/30/12 06:12 AM
Confessions of a Home Stager... Put down the phone Gertrude ... it’s not what you think.  Before I morphed into a Home Stager I was part of the “just paint it and clean it and if they don’t like it tough!” club.  I have a distinct memory of flipping channels one Saturday and falling upon one of those Cable Channel Home Staging shows.  In it the family watched a video of potential “buyers” as they walked through and critiqued their home.   I remember when one couple was highly critical of the dated bedspread in the Master Bedroom, I shouted at the … (62 comments)

Home Staging Tips in Palm Beach County-  STOP! Leave Me Something to Work With!Staging your home in Palm Beach County doesn’t have to break the bank!   On many occasions I’ve staged homes that were not occupied but still had all of the furniture and accessories of the owner. Boca Raton Home Staging- Things You Need to Ask Before You Get Additional Storage Space!
Whether or not you are selling your house in Boca Raton or anywhere else in Palm Beach County, chances are you have been told to store or remove some of your "clutter".    Your Realtor no doubt brought this up when you listed your house.  If you've had a Home Staging Consultation, your Stager probably suggested packing up unnecessary items so you won't detract from your Buyer being able to see the space your house has.
That's often easier said than done.  You're still living in … (28 comments)

Home Staging Tips in Palm Beach County-Home Staging is Needed AND is Available for Every Pricepoint!
I've often heard people say that Staging is only for higher priced homes.
I've also heard people say that a certain higher end home had expensive design work and therefore did not need Staging.
The truth is I've seen $3 million dollar listings that very much needed to be Staged and I've consulted on $80,000 listings.  Clutter has no boundaries!
A home can be beautifully decorated with expensive furnishings and art but be so taste specific and cluttered that … (29 comments)

boca raton home staging: This Beautifully Updated Boca Raton Condo Needed Just a Little Softening. - 03/15/11 07:41 AM
Room Service! Home Staging was called upon recently to see if adding a little "jewelry" might help their Boca Raton Florida condo sell.  The owners are out of town, so they asked their Realtor to find a home stager and see just what could be done.
This Boca Raton Condo along A1A has beautiful hardwood flooring, and updated Master Bath and custom touches that you just have to see in person.
The condo was furnished but the "softer" touches of a home were with their owners out of state.   Take a look:

boca raton home staging: Staging the House that Wouldn't Stop otherwise known as the Never-ending House. - 03/08/11 07:13 PM
Staging the House that wouldn't stop..,otherwise known as the Never-ending house.   In a previous post I spoke of my 8000sq foot house that I had the opportunity to stage.  This is the first time I needed two items in my staging kit that I'd not needed before:
Roller Blades and a Walkie Talkie!
This is a beautiful home on a lake in West Boca Raton Fl on a Cul-de-Sac in a gated community.  Unfortunately the tough times have hit all economic ranks and this house is under foreclosure.  Lights and mirrors were removed as well as some of the appliances.
