Delray Beach- Celebrating Women

It has been quite the week, with Larry’s surgery on Monday, doctor’s visits, a quick pit stop at the ER (everything A-OK),  worrying about my family in Houston and hurricane Harvey, and no beach time!

All in all, I can’t complain!

August 26th happens to be Women’s Equality Day, and this resonates with me because of all of the wonderful women I saw this week working in areas that a little over a hundred years ago, were not open to women.

Delray Beach- MeetUps, Unrest, and Appreciation

It has been a busy week! There were two MeetUps and they were so much fun. The MeetUps are still going on so if you have the opportunity to attend one, I hope you’ll make every effort to attend!

Delray Beach- Got Attitude?

It’s been a busy week with a lot of opportunity around people to experience their customer/client services skills. And it is with a big smile that I say that my experience this week has been way above average!

Delray Beach- Sizzling and Friends

It has been hot yet again but we were able to visit with a friend's sister and brother-in-law who in turn have become our friends. We don’t have a whole lot in common except that we believe in the good in people. And for us, that's enough.

Delray Beach- Afternoon Showers

The typical South Florida summer afternoon thunderboomers are here!  They are, however, not limited to the afternoons. We’ve been seeing storm clouds on the horizon on our morning walks and often we can see the showers heading our way.

It’s been hard for all of us to focus on our walks because of the ongoing renovation of the boardwalk area.

Delray Beach-The Word of the Day ...Heat

For my Saturday post and quotes, I was thinking of the heat and humidity that so many of us have been experiencing.  So in seeking quotes about heat I found many interesting quotes that had nothing to do with heat as relates to temperature but they were interesting nevertheless.

Delray Beach- 2017 All-America City for the 3rd Time!

We are once again proud of Delray Beach for being named one of the 2017 All-America Cities!  And, Delray is the only Florida city to receive this honor three times. You can learn about the other All-America Cities here.

Delray Beach- Happy Birthday, Ringo!

Delray Beach- Heat, Humidity and Celebrating a Birthday.

Yes, it’s summer! And in Delray Beach, that means the two H’s...Heat and Humidity. As I write this the temperature is 89 degrees but with the humidity, it feels like 99.

Delray Beach- Rain,Civility, and Sun.

The rains that we had this week were less than last week so perhaps we’ve settled into our usual summer afternoon thunderboomers.

This is the time of year when many will be taking the next step in the adventure known as life.  Some will go to high school, others will be leaving the security of high school and all of the friends they’ve known for perhaps all of their lives, and then there are those embarking on a career or even more school when they graduate from college.
