National Kids to Parks Day- May 19th! Celebrate in Delray Beach!May 19 is the 2nd Annual National Kids to Park Day created by the National Park Trust. The goal is encourage our youth to get out and enjoy the outdoors as well as to ensure the future stewardship of our parks. With the proliferation of electronic games and laptops, it’s important that our youth have the opportunity to experience the outdoors as we did when we were growing up. This event benefits our Delray Beach Ocean Rescue Lifeguard Competition Team and Junior Lifeguard Competition. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Anchor Park and the race starts at 9:30. It’s a one-way race with First, Second, and Third Place awards for all age groups. Fees: Individual- $25 Teams (minimum 10)-$20 per swimmerThere are Men and Women Divisions and in different age groups. Besides the awards, all participants will receive long-sleeve T-shirts.Parking
