Memorial Day 2013- 2 Words-Simple & Sincere-THANK YOU to Those Who Served and Sacrificed for us.
We shouldn’t have to wait until Memorial Day-one day out of 365 to pay tribute and recognize those men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. When I think about military service and the young men and women who serve, I wonder if I would have had the courage necessary to face our enemy.

Memorial Day - Picnics, Hot Dogs, Parades, and please don't forget our National Moment of Remembrance.
Memorial Day has come to be known as the unofficial beginning of summer..... the Indianapolis 500...a 3 day weekend....school's almost out....Memorial Day Sales!......beer....beach... grilling.... the pool's open.
But.... our ability to enjoy all of this.... to take 3 days off from work.... to be free to do any of this is only because men and women.... past and present have been willing to sacrifice their lives.... their time with their families.... their futures, for their country.

Memorial Day Celebrations will be held this weekend throughout our wonderful country. I hope you'll take the time to remember why we celebrate this day, and not just view it as a 3 day weekend, the start of summer vacation, or grillin' and chillin'.
As it is, Memorial Day is a day set aside to honor those who gave their lives in service of our country. It has grown to celebrate veterans as well as those currently serving our country. History tells us that Decoration Day (as it was called) began shortly after the Civil War.
