National Arbor Day- Celebrate the Day!It’s National Arbor Day but did you know that depending upon the state in which you live, you could be celebrating it in January (Florida) , early March (California) or November (Hawaii). Many states observe their State Arbor Day to coincide with their best time for planting trees. Arbor Day began in Nebraska in 1872 when J. Sterling Morton, an avid nature lover and advocate of planting trees who became Secretary of the Nebraska Territory suggested a tree planting holiday to be called Arbor Day.
