On our morning walk at Delray Beach the skies were overcast and I thought for sure that we were going to get drenched. But we threw caution to the wind and decided to set off without our umbrellas.
What was the worse thing that could happen if it did rain? Well... we’d get wet, and getting rained on when it’s 75 degrees out isn’t all that bad. Nature sometimes imitates nature!
On a recent walk out at Green Cay I had to photograph this palm frond that had fallen from the tree. It looked so much like it’s “bird counterpart” the Tri-Colored Heron. The Tri-Colored Heron is a medium sized heron (about 22 inches) and is seen frequently out at Green Cay. They can be seen wading in the marshy area for fish, insects and amphibians. When Staging your house, all neutrals can be very boring. Too much beige or taupe, or white or tan, in most instances, make it difficult for the Buyer to have any feeling for what they're seeing. Adding pops of color, such as red pillows on a sofa or a tall red vase on a table can go far in bringing the Buyer into the room.
Without the yellow flowers peeking through the faded brown of fall foliage, the eye sees nothing but ho-hum plants. You can always count on Mother Nature to strike the right balance.

I took a side trip over to Wakodahatchee yesterday and found this friendly alligator taking a nice morning break. This wetlands is located just about 5 minutes east of Green Cay and is a little older. Saturday was a slow day for watching wildlife here and I wasn't sure if we'd see even an alligator but just as we were about to leave, we looked over and there he was!

Weekends are usually spent with an early morning walk along Delray Beach. Just take Atlantic Avenue and head east. As we walk along on the sidewalk, it's fun to watch the Peloton of riders whiz by. I'm always amazed at how close to each other that they ride. One zig the wrong way and OOPS they could all come tumbling down.
Every Saturday or Sunday morning waves of them ride along A1A, some dressed in matching shirts. The lead always warns the group as they approach the parked cars... "Watch out for doors opening!" Then there are the … (25 comments)
