The new home designs now offer stunning windows two stories high, massive arch tops and little wall space in between.  As an interior decorator and custom designer I find a it fun challenge in accommodating the wishes of my clients is designing window treatments and draperies - but I said fun.  For example, in a bay window setting, the builder may have only provided 3-4 inches of wall space on each end of the bay in an effort to enlarge the window space on that wall.  And, I've always thought a lot of glass made a beautiful home.  But when your client wants all or most of that window opened, that leaves the designer little space to work with when installing hardward and accessories like finials.  The room below shows how I over came that challenge.

I used no finials for the hardward design - instead I used medallions and endcaps on the poles.  And here are the results of a challenging two-story bay window custom drapery design.
