real estate: Seller Agency is a Fraud...(But Only Sometimes) - 11/17/09 06:01 PM
Seller agency is a fraud...(but only sometimes). Having just read the post, Buyer Agency is a Fraud...(Sometimes) by Maya Paveza, I must agree that this has happened to me also.
Now the other side of that coin is the agent "posing" as the seller's agent. Perhaps you have met a

real estate: Active Rain GOLD STARS are Like Real Estate Transactions - 04/23/09 11:23 PM
Now what could possibly be similar between the gold stars we receive from Active Rain and the real estate transactions we work so hard to get?
You never know when the next one is going to come along!
That's right. At least for me, this is so

real estate: REALTORS® are NOT Under Paid or Over Worked - 04/21/09 04:02 PM
Why do we constantly go on and on about how overworked and under paid we are? I am not. I am paid what I am worth. If I were not, I would not continue working as a REALTOR®.
We are adults. We have the option of saying no to people that

real estate: Google Resembles Active Rain or... Does Active Rain Resembles Google - 03/23/09 07:29 AM
Every time I come on Active Rain I discover something new. Well, that may be an exaggeration but it sometimes seems that way.
When I go to Google I often discover the same thing. It is always a work in progress. Change after change and almost all for the better. Today I

real estate: The Pride of Virginia - 03/22/09 02:10 PM

real estate: Why Split the Difference? - 03/18/09 05:04 PM
Since I started in real estate back in 1986, there's been this prevailing view that when negotiating price you split the difference.
Buyers and Sellers are not the only ones that seem to be buying into this. Many REALTORS do also. I cannot tell you the number of times, while negotiating, this comes up.

real estate: Why the Delight in Fewer REALTORS®? - 02/23/09 09:55 PM
As the market has become more challenging I am seeing more and more posts dealing with the diminishing number of REALTORS®. I find it interesting that some of these seem to be grateful, in fact downright delighted, that some REALTORS® have had to leave the field. Comments often reflect similar sentiments.
Why?

real estate: Changes in Real Estate and in Our Lives - 01/19/09 02:09 PM
We have seen many changes in real estate within the past two years. Many of them have not been for the best. Yes, we may have seen the cost of housing appreciating at an unreasonable rate, but the turnaround has come too swiftly and is hurting too many people. What long

real estate: Wait a Minute...I Only Turned My Back for a Second - 08/16/08 03:09 PM
It's getting to the point where real estate is just getting in the way of my Active Rain life.

real estate: Should We or Shouldn't We? - 08/11/08 10:52 PM
Recently there have been some posts on the value of writing about things other than hard core real estate on Active Rain.

In real estate the three most important things are location, location, location. In the stock market perhaps it is diversify, diversify, diversify.
