This is perhaps the toughest assignment I've had on Active Rain.  I've been looking through over 1,000 photos that I took while on a trip to China and Tibet in 2005 trying to select the ONE that I would enter into the Active Rain Photoblogger Contest.
I imagine this is the same problem that many, many of you are also having.  Perhaps you are not looking through photos of China and Tibet, instead you are looking through your own special pictures.  As soon as I read about the challenge I knew that I would be selecting a photo from this particular … (47 comments)

TLW is having "Growing Older Pains" and I'm not having it!*
I don't know about you but I believe there's much more fun and adventure ahead for TLW and all the other kids that hang out here on Active Rain.  There are a number of "Older Kids" like myself that will have to prove them wrong. This is a continuation of my journey to Tibet, Tibet - A Journey Remembered (Part 1),  which took place in October 2005.  With these posts I am hoping to convey a sense of what I saw and what I felt during my short stay in Lhasa.
 
 
While there we had the opportunity to see the Jokhang Temple. The interior was incredible. Being a people watcher, I tended to spend more time looking at the crowds which were quite large. There have been so many news stories this week that it is hard to pick one to write about.   Yesterday was the fifth anniversary of our invasion of Iraq.  The stock market has had another big week of losses and gains.  Severe flooding continues in the mid-west.  The list goes on and on.
And then there's the uprising in Tibet.
