Winter at Lake Anna can be wonderful as well. Without a doubt we enjoy the scenery here during the spring, summer and fall. But what about during the winter? Hopefully this photo will show you what I enjoy even during the winter months.
Although the days are shorter with that comes the soft lghting of winter's dusk. There is something very appealing about the setting sun shining on the landscape before darkness falls.
Every season has its own appeal and that is why every time of the year at Lake Anna is enjoyable.

Lake Anna an office with a view is the next best thing to a home with a view of the lake. Fortunately I am lucky to have both. Since returning to Dockside Realty over two years ago I've had the opportunity to work from an office with a view of Lake Anna. The fall season is showing us that it is definitely here but there are still days that seem like summer. When we have those days it is the perfect time to once again get out on the lake. The wonderful thing is that days like this come along quite frequently. Now that's not to say they will all feel like summer but sunny days with the temperature in the 50's even in the midest of winter will find the boating and definitely the fishing lover out on the water.

Loving Lake Anna...once again. I don't know if I ever thought, 20 years ago when we moved down here, that I would love Lake Anna as much as I do. For a perso that had never spent more than eight years in one home it amazes me that I have had such a sense of contentment being in one place for so long. It really didn't take much coaxing. Today was another gorgeous day here at Lake Anna and what better way to enjoy it than simply relaxing down on the dock. Everything is beautiful at Lake Anna...even the spiderwebs. Yes, we're out in the country and we love it but it does come with certain amenities that might take some getting use to. One might be spiders that find all this fresh air and peaceful living give them plenty of time to create their masterpieces.
Now you can fight this and probably win or you can choose to take some pleasure in their creation. We do a bit of both. However, when I come across one like this I say live and let live.

Often when I give directions to our home I make reference to my neighbors garden next door. They also live on the water and have chosen to garden up towards the road where the area is more open with less trees. It apparently is the perfect spot for this purpose. Ever since our neighbors moved down to Lake Anna to live here full time they have produced the most amazing display of flowers.
