lake havasu city: Tax Credit Opportunity in Lake Havasu City - 06/19/09 03:20 PM
If you are looking for a tax credit, Lake Havasu City may just be the place for you to invest your dollars while receiving a tax credit from the state of Arizona. Arizona residents have been given a great opportunity to help their community and to receive a tax credit. Instead of raising taxes to help support extra-curricular school activites, the great state of Arizona is giving its residents a tax credit. Arizona's tax law (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows residents to deduct up to $400 when supporting school activities. What an innovative idea! Instead of raising taxes to help support our schools,

lake havasu city: Seize the Day - Lake Havasu Part 2 - 06/16/09 04:29 PM
A few weeks ago, I posted a blog entitled Seize the Day - Lake Havasu Opportunities Won't Last Forever. At that time, I did not realize that there would be a Part 2. But, after reading the latest real estate news, I found that there was good reason to write a Part 2, or "the rest of the story" (for all the Paul Harvey fans). There is much happening on the real estate front. So, deciding what to post today was rather difficult. I decided to post what I believe is the most urgent news and disappearing opportunities for Lake Havasu home

Lake Havasu homeowners can tax advantage of a new tax credit which is a part of the stimulus program. lake havasu city: Getting Big Discounts on Homes for Sale - 01/09/09 03:16 PM
In today's housing market, you don't have to spend so much time negotiating to get a good bargain. You just need to know where to find a great bargain price that's already on the market. Many people have been looking for unrealistic discounts when trying to negotiate. It can be better for some to look for bargains that already exist, rather than trying to turn a selling price into a bargain. When looking for a bargain, look for languishing listings. Homes that have been on the market for more than 90 days will usually be heavily discounted. Fixer-uppers are usually your

lake havasu city: A Ray of Hope in Mortgage Rates - 12/26/08 10:52 AM
Thanks to the Federal Reserve's effots to reduce inner-bank lending rates to almost 0%, mortgage rates have gone down from 5.5% for a 30-year fixed rate loan in early December to 5.2% and even, in some cases, into the high 4% range (the lowest rates in 50 years). Many banks, including Wells Fargo and Wachovia, cut their prime rates as well. This translated to a 3/4% drop in interest on home equity loans and credit cards through these banks (from 4% to 3 1/4%). What does this mean for the housing market? Well, according to experts, a 1% drop in mortgage rates can easily

lake havasu city: Interest in Re-Financing Up as Mortage Rates Go Down - 12/19/08 11:16 AM
Local Lake Havasu City mortgage brokers are seeing an increase in refinancing requests as the interest rates have decreased. Unfortunately, lower property values mean many people still owe more on their houses than they are worth and are unable to refinance. The upside of all this is that the low interest rates have stirred business up for new mortgage requests as well. Many Lake Havasu residents are taking advantage of the lowest mortgage rates seen in decades (5.18% as of Thursday, December 18) and the lower home sale prices to buy their piece of the American dream. You need 20% down for a coventional

lake havasu city: Lake Havasu Real Estate Stats for October 2008 - 11/26/08 10:43 AM
With an estimated 35-40% of home sales being foreclosures or short sales, you can't necessarily use total dollar sales as an accurate indicator of how the real estate market is doing.
