arizona real estate: A Well Loved Lake Havasu City - 03/05/10 10:15 AM
Ernst Prohaska is a prime example of just how much community members love Lake Havau City.  When weather and other forces of nature threaten the Veterans Memorial in Wheeler Park, Mr. Prohaska decided to take on the duty of repair himself.
Even though Mr. Prohaska is now 82, he still feels it is his personal responsibility to oversee the Veterans Memorial.  He actually built the memorial by hand in 1983 to stand proud to represent American military veterans.
Although Mr. Prohaska is an Austrian immigrant, once he moved to Lake Havasu City in 1979, he fell in love with the city … (2 comments)

arizona real estate: Protect Your Arizona Property Interests with Title Insurance - 02/25/10 02:34 PM
When buying real estate in Arizona or just about any other state across the nation, it is common for the seller to purchase the buyer title insurance. Or the buyer will purchase the title insurance themselves.  Although purchasing title insurance is common, practiced and encouraged by many real estate professionals, not every real estate transaction includes title insurance.
Like any other insurance policy, title insurance gives financial protection if a specific problem should arise.  Homeowners purchase homeowners insurance to cover property damage from fires and other emergency situations. Title insurance covers the loss or expenses in any case that there was … (0 comments)

arizona real estate: Open Houses Gone Bad - 02/18/10 07:14 PM
Everyone who holds an open house for themselves always has high expectations. And that's exactly what many homeowners are doing when selling their home without the help of a real estate professional.  However, all too many times, I see "open houses gone bad."
An open house is one of the best ways to attract potential buyers.  But if you don't know what you're doing, it can go terribly wrong.  Many people who have attended open houses think it will be a piece of cake to have one for themselves.  And this is where the common open house mistakes begin.  Therefore, I … (1 comments)

arizona real estate: Choosing the Right Lender - 10/29/09 04:32 PM
Today, there is a variety of choices of lenders to choose from and often homebuyers find themselves asking which lender is right for them.  Today's choices include mortgage brokers, banks, Internet lenders and home builders.  And each lender has its own advantages and disadvantages of using them.  Therefore, I would like to go over the different types of lenders to help homeowners make a sound choice when it comes to buying a home.
Types of Lenders:
Banks - Advantages of banks are that they are regulated by state and federal agencies, many branches provide you with one-on-one access and your current … (1 comments)

arizona real estate: Feng Shui Your Mind to Sell Your Home - 08/20/09 11:54 AM
Here is an interesting strategy to sell a home that I recently came across and thought I would share it with the readers of my blog.  Many Feng Shui believers are now using the same technique with their mind to sell their home.
Many believe that there is a definite fear in today's market that they have to overcome with their mind.  Therefore, with the right mindset, many more prospective buyers will be attracted to your home.
Feng Shui-ing the mind means sustaining a positive, high energy mindset.  Those who practice in Feng Shui believe this is vital to attracting the … (1 comments)

Realtor® Cheryl Westwood  ~  Lake Havasu City Real Estate

Trash has always been a problem on any lake around the world, but keeping Lake Havasu Lake clean is what residents around the community of Lake Havasu City are concerned about.  Therefore, the London Bridge Yacht Club and the Lake Havasu City Marine Association banded together Tuesday in a huge volunteer effort to clean up a popular beach on the lake known as "That Beach", which was found extremely littered with trash over the weekend.
Many believe it was the work of local resident teenagers looking to have a little extra … (0 comments)

arizona real estate: 100 Proof Opens in Lake Havasu City - 05/21/09 02:10 PM
Another new store has opened its doors in Lake Havasu City.  It's exactly what the English Village needs to get restored after such a tough economic plunge.  Everywhere you look in Lake Havasu City, you see business picking back up and, recently, new businesses have been opening.  Hope is on the horizon.
The most recent store to open its doors is 100 Proof at Heat Hotel.  This new convenience store will keep consumers well stocked with sodas, beer, snacks, ice and they soon have plans to add package liquor by Memorial Day.
The store opened with the basics for now.  However, … (0 comments)
