There was a job fair in Lake Havasu City recently at Havasu Lanes, which over 200 Lake Havasu City residents turned up for.  The day kicked off a 12 week job fair program for Havasu Lanes and Kingman's Cerbat Lanes, which turned out over 600 people.

During the first week of February, some of the world's top water instructors will be in Lake Havasu City to help celebrate the city's 10th annual Spring Frenzy.  This is promising to be the city's largest Spring Frenzy ever, with instructors coming from as far as Japan and Korea.
Instructors from Japan's Aqua Dynamic Institute and the Korean Aquatics Exercise Association will be in Lake Havasu City providing instruction to all guests who attend the event.  Presenters will be offering instruction on master swimming, water exercise, Japanese folk swing performance and Japanese choreography swim.

Okay party goers, get your party hats on, your noisemakers out and maybe even the aspirin bottle ready because Lake Havasu City is having its first ever public New Year's Eve party.  On Main Street, there will be at least 1,000 kisses exchanged during the city's first "Uptown Countdown." 
The buzz all around town is huge.  There have been over 1,000 tickets sold to the event already. As Christmas nears, you can feel it all around you in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.  Everyone is getting into the spirit of the holiday season all around town.  Even the children of Lake Havasu City are sharing their holiday spirit.
The kindergarteners from Guiding Light Christian and Education Center sang with other fellow students to the residents of Prestige Care LLC senior living community on Smoketree Avenue on Monday.

When the tree lighting ceremony in Lake Havasu City was canceled to help balance the budget, many Lake Havasu residents were very disappointed.  There just isn't the holiday spirit around town without the annual tree lighting ceremony.
After an article was published last month announcing the cancellation, citizens began to swamp city officials with phone calls in protest.  City officials had no other choice but to find a way to fit the ceremony back into its budget and back into Lake Havasu's place in history.

Children all around Lake Havasu City, Arizona are ready for and excited about the Fall Fun Fair that is scheduled for this Saturday, October 17th.  The youth of the city's residents and visitors will all be enjoying over 80 different games and various other activities at this year's annual event.

When was the last time you got free money from the government?  Well, time is running out on the $8,000 federal tax credit.  The deadline is November 30, which is only five weeks away.  
The federal tax credit is for first time buyers only as part of the economic stimulus package.  When buying a home under this credit, you will receive a credit for $8,000 or 10% of the home's value, whichever is less.

According to the latest Lake Havasu City Stats report from the Lake Havasu Association of REALTOR®, home sales were up again in July 2009 compared to the same time last year.  This continues the upward trend that began late last year.  Residential home sales in Lake Havasu City were up 42.8% (140 units in July 2009 vs 98 units in July 2008), vacant land sales were up 33.3% (12 units sold in July 2009 vs 9 units in July 2008) and multi-family homes were up 150% (5 units sold in July 2009 vs 2 in July 2008).  The average sell price for a … (1 comments)

lake havasu: Lake Havasu Home Sales Update - 02/19/09 04:41 PM
For the 5th month in a row, sales of single-family homes in Lake Havasu City have increased from the same time period last year.  According to the Lake Havasu City Association of Reators®, there was a 25% increase in homes sold in January 2009 from homes sold in January 2008 (87 vs 65).  Vacant land and multi-family units remained pretty close.  Prices have decreased approximately 30% since January 2008 as well.  Partnered with lower interest rates, these lower prices have allowed more people to purchase a Lake Havasu City home.  Foreclosures make up approximately 20% of the Lake Havasu City market.  … (0 comments)

Yep, that's right!  Valentine's Day is this Saturday...only two days away.  But, never fear.  There is plenty to do throughout the entire weekend in Lake Havasu City.

It's easy to get mired in the gloom and doom of the economical news lately, but the fact is that homes are continuing to sell in Lake Havasu City.  Per sales numbers released by Lake Havasu's Association of Realtors, December 2008 sales were up by 40% from December 2007.  This is the fourth month in a row that Lake Havasu real estate saw double digit increases from the same time period last year.  Due to the high inventory of foreclosed properties, the average sales price dropped 28% (from $285,852 in December 2007 to $205,704 in December 2008).  This brings the total … (0 comments)

lake havasu: Lake Havasu's Housing Stats for November 2008 - 12/24/08 09:17 AM
Thanks to lower mortgage rates and sales prices, Havasu's single-family home sales showed a 20% increase in November from the same time last year.  The average sell price is down from $275,558 in November 2007 to $187,354 in November 2008.  Year-to-date sales figures are down only slightly from the same period last year (3%).  This marks the fourth month in a row that sales figures have increased from the same time period as last year.  As lenders begin loosening the stranglehold they had over lending standards and mortgage rates continue to decline, it is a great time to purchase Lake Havasu real estate.  Just … (0 comments)
