There is a new modified version of the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) product announced by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). The modified version allows older home owners to tap into the equity in their home to cover living expenses and health care costs while continuing to live in their homes. The new version allows homeowners to not have to continue to make traditional mortgage or equity loan payments.

Early voting in Lake Havasu City is set to end Friday, August 20, 2010. Early voting for the upcoming primary election started on July 29 at the Lake Havasu City Aquatic Center where all local residents can easily and conveniently vote.
Mohave County also sent out 10,600 mail-in ballots, but not even half have been returned. The deadline for mail-in ballots is Tuesday, August 24 at 7:00pm. Any mail-in ballots after the deadline will not be counted.

Ernst Prohaska is a prime example of just how much community members love Lake Havau City. When weather and other forces of nature threaten the Veterans Memorial in Wheeler Park, Mr. Prohaska decided to take on the duty of repair himself.
