Wow it has been a very good year with hopes that next year will be even better. The market has been slower than in previous years but it is still a great place to live and work.  The average days on the market have increased and values are down a small percent but we are lucky not to have a declining market here.  It is a great time to buy a house with the new FHA programs and loan amount we should see a great year in Dawsonville.

Lake Lanier and Cumming Ga To Get Water Park - 12/28/07 10:24 PM
It appears that the plans have been approved for the water park and hotel at Mary Alice Park.  The development company has signed a 50 year lease for the property and so it should be underway.  The folks that live on that end of the lake will see alot more traffic and probably more noise!! The City of Cumming and Forsyth county are going to devote some funds to make road improvements in the area.  All we can do is wait and see what the results are. Interest rates rose this week and that is not a good thing. Cumming Ga real estate is being fueled by bargain hunters.  There are some good deals in the foreclosure market but competition for these is keeping the price up.   I hope buyers will get moving now!! It is the best time to pick up a bargain and have those lower payments you want!!

Real Estate Values Are Dropping On Lake Lanier - 12/09/07 02:40 PM
I was a bit surprised this week when I checked the stats of Cumming Ga real estate.  The Forsyth county Georgia real estate market is still holding strong but the Lake Lanier real estate market is changing. Fron Jan of ths year to Aug, sellers were getting around 94% of asking price.  After the big drop in the lake level it declined to around 83% of asking price. I assume that lake dwellers will just want to sit this one out. After all this is not the first time we have seen the lake levels go down but it is the worst!!! … (0 comments)
