Quickie laugh. I was just visiting with Marchel Peterson of Spring Texas. Marchy and I have been able to network and make money TOGETHER with the help of Active Rain. Yo Baby, this creature of habit is lost like a mouse in a maze...I know this change in the format of Active Rain is simply "progress" but whoa. Hi Honey I'm Home! I'm so glad to be home! I'm excited about getting back to work and I am grateful that we were so fortunate to have had as little damage from IKE as we did. The closer I got to home the more the damage was apparent. Trees down, roofs patched, many road signs simply propped up, cars filled with little dogs and RV's and Trailers being pulled with so many trying to get home.

Ike, The Bay of Pigs and Me and Bobby MgGee... I do have a tendancy to become fearful of storms. Growing up just outside of Camp Atterbury as a young child caused a major impact to my personality. I've had a really interesting week. I'm pooped. I'm going to try to make this blurb short. I found a dead bat on my porch a week ago Friday night. Hubby and I, out of responsible citizenry, decided we should bag it and take it to the City. We did. Dear Diary, I believe that's what has happened to me. Quite by accident though. My lovely daughter and Office Manager for the last two years has just left our Brokerage. Ouch. Hurricanes are a unique animal in my book. I've seen tornados, tropical storms, hail storms, wind storms, snow storms and others. I am in the preparation stages for our own Gustav. I want every one close to please take this to heart. The loss and devestation of the last several hurricanes will be felt for generations. New Orleans and its people are just beginning to breathe again after Katrina.
