If you are selling a manufactured home in the state of Georgia, there are now specific laws in place on how to handle the DMV title to your manufactured home.  These laws have been in place since 2002, but some purchases made since that time were not handled properly.  MANY transactions closed without transfer of title prior to 2002.

Once upon a time, my husband returned from Germany after having served his country and went to the Georgia DMV to get a new Georgia Driver's License.  His previous Georgia license had expired while he was out of the country.  He did have a valid California Drivers License as that had always been his "home" address while in the ARMY.
When the lady at the DMV entered his data, she said "Sir, we can not issue you a license since you were driving in New York without insurance".
