According to information from RealtyTrac Inc. foreclosure rates may be on the rise Nationally, but Texas MSAs were not among the top ten foreclosure areas in the United States for the first half of 2007.  RealtyTrac Inc. also found:
Fort Worth-Arlington ranked 13th and Dallas ranked 17th among the top 100 MSAs by number of foreclosure filings. Texas foreclosure filings were down more than 13% ompared with the first half of last year, as were all of the major Texas MSAs except Fort Worth-Arlington, which was up 5%. Scott and White University Medical Campus now open in Round Rock - 08/14/07 11:22 PM
 
Scott & White opened its 72-bed University Medical Campus Hospital in Round Rock.  This is the system's first hospital outside its home base of Bell County.
The Temple-based health system broke ground on the 68-acre campus nearly two years ago. The campus is now home to more than 30 physicians representing more than 24 specialties.
"We have been eagerly anticipating this day," said Ernie Bovio, CEO of UMCH. "We have worked diligently over the past few weeks to train and reinforce our processes and to establish a culture of service excellence."
Scott & White has nearly 350 staff members on campus.

Cedar Park breaks ground on fourth fire station - 08/14/07 10:19 PM
   
Cedar Park hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday, Aug. 2, for Fire Station Four, 1501 Church Park Road, which is located in the Ranch at Brushy Creek Subdivision.     Station Four will cover all areas east of Vista Ridge Boulevard, and house one Cedar Park Fire Engine, one Williamson County Ambulance and specialize in hazardous-material response beyond the normal duties of EMS First Responder, fire suppression, and vehicle extrication. The station is approximately 10,500 sq. ft., with a community meeting room for citizens. It is scheduled to open in Spring 2008.

New Development and Area Growth for 1431, 183A and Parmer Lane Corridor - 08/13/07 10:04 PM
 
Leander: Last year the city of Leander annexed the land north of FM 1431 and south of 29 on Ronald Regan Pkwy...better known as Parmer lane.  The city is now planning a major boom in this corridor and has proposed to the land owners along this hwy to work together to strategically plan the corridor.
 
The city is proposing an economic study to determine the lands highest and best use, then they would like to strike a deal to provide all the landowners with water and sewer, locking their rates in with the city.  This can potentially save land owners over … (0 comments)
