Ah, the Gulf Coast life.  Can you imagine a better combination of things than the awesome beach, the sea breezes, a beverage, and – MUSIC? The Hangout Beach, Music & Arts Festival  is coming to Gulf Shores, May 14-16, 2010.
Don’t miss the first major Gulf Shores music festival that will be happening for three days with non-stop concerts on four stages. There will be some amazing bands playing from noon to 11 p.m. on every scheduled day.

PMI Index Changes Bode Well for Gulf Shores Buyers? - 02/27/10 10:57 PM
One of the most credible forecasters of housing value trends has released some very valuable data that bodes well for potential Gulf Shores buyers. According to a recent story in Realty Times, the national PMI index, for the first time in a year it has determined that "overall risk has decreased" in the 384 metropolitan markets.
The PMI Index predicts where home values are headed by examining local employment, household income, economic growth and demographic changes.  The PMI Risk index is produced quarterly by the private mortgage insurance organization PMI Group.

Overall Fourth Quarter Home Sales Increase 13.9% - 02/27/10 12:06 PM
The fourth quarter of 2009 showed some very promising signs that the real estate market is on its way to recovery with double-digit gains in some states for existing home sales. Year-over-year sales were higher across the board in 49 states, while all but three states had double-digit annual increases for an overall total 13.9% gain in sales.
With many potential beach condo bargains coming up in 2010, along with low mortgage rates and home sales activity picking up, the outlook for Gulf Shores and Orange Beach is looking very good.

The beauty of Alabama's Gulf Coastline attracts thousands of visitors each year but like any beach area, you must respect the forces of nature and proceed carefully while enjoying the water. 
You can just be swimming along when suddenly you are pulled into a rip current.  A rip current is defined by a strong current or stream of water that knocks you off balance and carries you AWAY from the shore.

If you are considering a trip to Orange Beach, you need to allow time to visit Alligator Alley located a short distance away in Summerdale. Alligator Alley has a very famous resident named "Captain Crunch", who would love to meet you. Captain Crunch is the largest gator ever recorded at 13'2" long and over 800 lbs!
