USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park near Mobile and the cable television network HBO are teaming up for a tribute to those currently serving in our armed forces, and veterans of all wars. The partnership will create a video tribute campaign, enabling everyone to record a video “thank you” that could become part of a montage to appear on HBO.com. HBO has sponsored a video kiosk on the main deck of the USS Alabama so visitors to the World War II-era ship can record messages of thanks to veterans and active duty troops. This has brought much needed optimism that this year will be a busy one. Over the last several years Orange Beach has witnessed a decline in visitors since its peak in 2007 (2 comments)
Hotels, shopping, dining, water rides, shark tanks and a swim-with-the-dolphins attraction… All of this surely sounds like great fun, and even better it’s located in Gulf Shores, well, maybe… Finally, it looks 144-acre Bama Bayou entertainment complex may get to see the day of its completion.
