I had the opportunity to catch up on some of the shows I enjoy today... and one of them was Trucks on the Spike Powerblock.  The episode today had a segment about fuel economy... and getting better economy.  It was an interesting segment to watch.  And it showed something VERY important.  Not jus...

Have you seen the BBC TV show Top Gear?  It is one of my favorite shows.  And with 350 million viewers around the world, I'm not the only fan.  Top Gear is a great show, too.  Even Mrs. Garage Guy enjoys (grudgingly) a show sometimes.  The cast of the show includes Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammon...

On my Google Homepage I have a couple of WikiHow tips each day.  Some of them are entertaining, some are informative, and some are downright weird. And then there are some that are hilarious... Today was one of the funny ones.  How to Get Up and Start Taking Photos.  It is a good read... and coul...

As many of my FaceBook friends and Twitter followers have been well aware, my family and I went down to Florida for Saturday's failed Space Shuttle launch.  It was a long and somewhat frustrating trip... driving down with two small kids and a dog presented some challenges... as did getting the ca...

I can almost hear you say, "Pricing isn't about price?  Then what the heck is it about?" Here is the bottom line.  Just about every home on the market has a narrow range it WILL sell in.  Whether it is priced at $50,000 or $500,000, there is a price at which it will sell.  Below that price and we...

Just something I've noticed... In hockey there are players tasked with protecting their teammates.  They are referred to as enforcers...  I've had the opporunity to meet three of them. Jeff Odgers - Former Thrashers player Eric Boulton - Current Thrashers player Dan Sullivan - Gwinnett Gladiators...

This is a simple question... I have asked it before and the answer has always been a resounding "because that is how we have always done it."  What am I talking about? Why is it that MLS entries are ALL CAPS? It doesn't make sense.  It is common knowledge that ALL CAPS is the www version of yelli...

Image via Wikipedia Any list of exciting and cool cars would be incomplete without a few stunners... you know, those sleepers that nobody ever thinks of as cool, but there is some obscure variation that rocks. So, I included the Dodge Dart. How can the Dodge Dart be cool... my mom had one.  Well...
