The first rule of the game is that you JOIN THE GAME IN PLAY! There are no half times in the real estate market, no time outs, nor is there a definable start and stop. It's just one continuous event. GUESS WHAT? You can't join the game unless your house is priced right. It doesn't matter what your neighbors are asking for their house or what upgrades you have, or what you paid for it or what you put into it or how much your real estate agent's marketing fee is. You have to anticipate the market and price your house

Continuing Education: Classroom Setting vs. The Books! - 10/27/07 07:09 PM
When is the last time you actually hit a class in person?! Whether it is a continuing ed class, free lunch with a legal update, or a post licensing class, were you there? If so, can you affirm what I'm saying? Many are so busy these days and value their time so much, they feel they can't afford to commit to spending blocks of time away from their office/clients. The alternative is to read a booklet and take a test online. It's on paper. It's static, dead, no fizz...* If you're not doing this, I urge you to attend (sounds much better than

What are you doing to contribute to your local board of Realtors? - 10/21/07 10:07 PM
(I'm ordering HTML for dummies, thanks to Sandi Bauman, and blogs will eventually improve). I have gained amazing knowledge from many in the Active Rain Community and many members have contributed significantly to my professional growth. Yet, there is another group I feel a close tie to and those are the active members of my local Association of Realtors. I've seen these people at special classes and panel lunches meant to help us all improve our level of service and effectiveness.
