We spotted this wine bottle when we were perusing the wine section at Gelson's Market. From a distance, we both knew that it was a Francis Ford Coppola wine based on the shape of the label symbolizing a piece of cut film. Mr. Coppola owns several wineries in the wine country, and the Napa location has a movie gallery, featuring the Tucker cars (From the movie, Tucker: A Man And His Dreams) as well as memorabilia from the Godfather. Part of the research we do besides reading a plethora of publications on Luxury, real estate, marketing, branding on a daily basis is visit stores to see the latest and greated especially in design. When we walked in to Sur La Table on State Street (our downtown main street), our eyes were drawn to this display of Cusinart blenders, immerision sticks,food processors and other machines. It was gorgeous weather today. We went to the beach for a long walk at low tide. there were lots of people sunbathing, body surfing, kids building castles in the sand, and dogs catching balls and barking at the waves. A sailboat was gliding in the distance. This was a beautiful way to spend Cinco de Mayo on Sandyland Beach in Carpinteria. Yesterday I created what Ron and I think is the perfect brownie recipe. I have tried many recipes and tinkered with them. This one in our opinion is luxurious perfection, fudgy in the middle and chewy on the outside. The original recipe was in Bon Appetit, February 2011, and contributed by Alice Medrich.
