These lovely flowers well over 3ft tall were displayed around the Roots booth at the Santa Barbara Farmers' Market. They are known as common comcokle agrostemma. First discovered in the 19th in the European wheatfields, they have become popular in temperate climates where they thrive from May to September. speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing: Speechless Sunday--Orange Orchid in Bloom - 03/18/12 01:22 PM
A few weeks ago as I was entering Trader Joe's in Santa Barbara, I had to wait a minute for a delivery of boxes to pass me by, so I turned to the right and there in the corner was this lovely orchid with four spikes, one in bloom hiding in the corner behind a few others. In all my orchid (cymbidium to be precise) hunts, I had not seen an orange one of this hue with bright red centers. Today more of the spikes have opened, and I thought it appropriate to have this lovely make it debut on

The colors of the tulips that are grown here in Santa Barbara, look great in any container We had parked these temporarily in this cachepot. A few hours later, they had formed themselves to it, and looked great! speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing; Speechless Sunday/Posing for a Picture - 02/19/12 04:35 PM
As we were coming out of Nordstroms' in Santa Barbara's Paseo Nuevo, we spotted this cute dog sitting patiently waiting for his/her owner who was shopping near by. We just had to take the picture. We waited for a couple of minutes to see if the owner would energe from some store nearby to ask for the dog's breed. Do you know the breed? Hope you all had a great Sunday! speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing: The Luxury of Pincushions/Speechless Sunday - 02/12/12 07:39 PM
As we meandered through the Farmers' Market, I spotted a new flower that looked like fireworks in bloom. I asked the vendor what they were and he called them "pincushions." They are so beauiful and I took several shots of them, and even rearranged the bucket they were in for the second shot, so that the various colors could be seen in a better light. - WATCH VIDEOS- Buzz-Worthy Luxury Real Estate Websites Personal Branding Case Studies Company Branding Case Studies About Language of Luxury - JOIN THE LOL COMMUNTIY - GET FLUENT. speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing: The Luxury of Pink Jasmine/Speechless Sunday - 01/29/12 03:16 PM
Our deck is bordered with pink jasmine. They make great hedges and have a sweet light scent when they bloom. The resident hummingbirds are attracted to their nectar. With ther warm spell of weather in Central and Southern California, this January, we have a"faux," spring, and many trees and in bloom as is one of our jasmines. speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing: Nature's Arrangement/Speechless Sunday - 01/22/12 08:05 PM
There is always something that fascinates us on the beach in Carpinteria. The picture above is simple, it is seaweed on sand. The color contrast is beautiful as we see it as is the texture... The close up reveals how the strands are multiculored in shades of pale and dark green, woven by nature's invisible hands. This is natural art, Happy Sunday, Cheers Ron & Alexandra WATCH VIDEOS- Buzz-Worthy Luxury Real Estate Websites Personal Branding Case Studies Company Branding Case Studies About Language of Luxury - JOIN THE LOL COMMUNTIY - GET FLUENT. speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing: The California Poppy - 05/29/11 10:22 AM
Our official state flower blooms in springtime. It can be found at the side of the road where this photo was taken. You can see patches of them on hillsides. They seem to appear everywhere. We love seeing them as they can brighten up any spot in the landscape with their bright colors. In the Antelope Valley, we have a 1745 acre poppy reserve, where you can view the assortment of wildflowers whcih bloom alongside of the poppy. speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing: Serenity at Low Tide/Speechless Sunday - 05/01/11 11:41 AM
We always look up the tide tables to determine when to take our walk. We love the low tides because there is more beach to enjoy for all of us, kids, dogs and sunbathers. speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing: The Luxury of Daffodils/Speechless Sunday - 04/10/11 11:39 AM
As spring time is here, our local Trader Joe's brings in batches of daffodils and sells them for $1.29 per bunch. I always buy some to celebrate spring, and it reminds me of William Wordsworth's poem, "Daffodils" written in 1804. (April is National Poetry Month!) I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils: Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing: The Luxury of Running Away from Home/Speechless Sunday - 03/27/11 01:25 PM
This past Tuesday morning we realized that we needed a break, as we have been working on several projects with deadlines. We called our friend in Los Angeles, told him we were "running away from home,"; took off to see him and made dinner plans with another friend. On our way to dinner we stopped at one of our favorite gardens called "The Lake Shrine" at the Self Realization Center on the famed Sunset Boulevard just before it meets the Pacific Ocean. They have a magnificent wisteria arbor that was in full bloom, and its sweet scent was perfuming the

speechless sunday: Luxury Real Estate Marketing: The Luxury of Sunsets/Speechless Sunday - 03/13/11 10:51 AM
Sunsets signal the end of another day. They are joyous and vibrant as the sun sinks into the horizon. They give us a moment to reflect and meditate and be appreciative of all that surrounds us. We took this picture from the foothills of Carpinteria overlooking the ocean. speechless sunday: Marketing Luxury Real Estate: The Luxury of Life/Speechless Sunday - 01/23/11 01:48 PM
This Saturday we took a dear friend to the Carpinteria Bluffs, a large park overlooking the ocean. We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed our sandwiches and oranges. Then we walked over to the Carpinteria Harbor Seal sanctuary watch point. This mile beach is closed to humans, and reserved for the seals who return to have their pups between the months of December and May. No pups have been born, and we are eagerly waiting to see one, and I have a feeling we will be going to lunch in the bluffs often. They are white when they are born,

speechless sunday: Speechless Sunday: The Luxury of Low Tides and Sea Anemones - 09/19/10 07:50 PM
As Autumn approaches our coastal town of Carpinteria, we have the low tides to look forward as we talk our walks on the beach. The joy of low tide is that the ocean holds an "open house" by revealing what is happening under the water. This particular photograph was taken by Ron ofan anemone. The blue color of the anemone is transparent reminding us of blown glass. This is just one of the marvels of low tide. - WATCH VIDEOS- Buzz-Worthy Luxury Real Estate Websites Personal Branding Case Studies Company Branding Case Studies About Language of Luxury - JOIN THE

speechless sunday: Sunday, Glorious Sunday: Lollygagging in Luxury Feline Style - 08/08/10 04:08 PM
We have decided that lollygagging is an art form. We have hired our two cats Kobe on the left a sorrell Abyssinian, and Zoe on the right a ruddy Abyssinian. This is an example of their mastery. This is what they enjoy doing on Sunday mornings, come to think of it, they like to do this on a daily basis. The question is where do we sit and practice? Happy Sunday to all!
