Has anyone run into this? You are talking to a buyer/seller and they mention "my sister is going to do a short sale". Of course my response is "oh, that's too bad - did she lose her job?" The response is "no, she just doesn't think her townhome is worth what she paid so she wants to do a short sale and go buy a house". I explain that the bank will most likely deny the sister's so-called short sale because she seems not to have suffered a hardship. WOW! I can't believe it's been this long since I last posted a blog on ActiveRain! I used to go on every day but real estate got so busy for me that I had to put it at the bottom of the list of priorities. It's cool to see all the "old-timers" I used to chat with almost daily and to see how many new rainers are on-board.
