The Joliet Park District brought back this popular event from the 1970's and 1980's known as the "Toughest 10K in the Midwest". In 2011, over 500 runners participated. This is the first race in the 2012 Run3 series. The USATF/CARA Certified Course runs through the streets of Rockdale and Joliet, Illinois. The course is on paved streets with some hills. The event begins and ends near the Rockdale School. Includes Post Race Party with food, beverages and raffles. Custom hooded sweatshirt for the first 600 registered runners.
