Dear Louisiana REALTORS Leader,

Early next week the U.S. Senate will be voting on an amendment that would extend the first-time homebuyer tax credit. NAR is supporting the Dodd-Lieberman-Isakson amendment because this amendment will:

  • Extend the tax credit to June 30, 2010,
  • Expand the credit to all homebuyers, and
  • Raise the income limits to $150,000 ($300,000 for joint returns).

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please contact Senator Landrieu and Senator Vitter's offices, and ask to speak to the senator or their Senator's Tax Legislative Assistant, asking them to support the Dodd-Lieberman-Isakson amendment for the above stated reasons. Please make this call before Tuesday, October 27 as they will be voting early next week.

Senator Mary Landrieu's Office: (202) 224-5824
Senator David Vitter's Office: (202) 224-4623

Do not hesitate to contact Norman Morris at 225-229-8538 if you have any questions.

Thank you for your support, and feel free to contact Norman on any feedback you receive from your call.
