Call for Action:
Unfinished Business on Critical Housing Programs
The National Association of REALTORS has recently released a Call for Action to its members regarding two very important programs that have been left as unfinished business: The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the Rural Housing Servive Mortgage Insurance. Congress recessed without approving legislation on these two issues.
The real esate market cannot afford another setback. Please act on this Call for Action as soon as you receive it and urge Congress to renew both NFIP and the Rural Housing 502 Program.
If you did not receive the Call for Action, please click here to participate in the quick and easy 2-step process to send a letter to congress.
Please review the background information on the NFIP issue and what to do until it is resolved:
Read FEMA's memorandum on the NFIP
