Overview of the Webinar:
Fannie Mae continues to manage disposition of its Real Estate Owned (REO) properties in a way that makes financial sense for the company and maintains the integrity of local communities.
Individuals and organizations using public funds to purchase Fannie Mae-owned properties can now take advantage of a "First Look" initiative.
Learn how the new initiative works with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Neighborhood Stabilization Program, as well as other state, local, and national housing programs.

Louisiana REALTORS, in conjunction with the Northeast Louisiana Association of REALTORS and the Central Louisiana Association of REALTORS, is conducting special networking events at no charge for commercial REALTORS in the Monroe and Alexandria areas on Thursday, October 29.
In Monroe, LR is holding a luncheon at the Northeast Louisiana Association of REALTORS office at 11:30 am. In Alexandria, an after work "happy hour" networking program is scheduled for 5:00 pm at Cajun Landing.
Both events will provide attendees with information on commercial real estate issues and available commercial services/education for REALTORS at both the state and federal level, as well as the opportunity to network with fellow commercial agents and brokers.
We look forward to seeing you there! For more information or to RSVP, contact Kevin Calbert at 800-266-8538.
Early next week the U.S. Senate will be voting on an amendment that would extend the first-time homebuyer tax credit. NAR is supporting the Dodd-Lieberman-Isakson amendment because this amendment will:
Extend the tax credit to June 30, 2010,
Expand the credit to all homebuyers, and
Raise the income limits to $150,000 ($300,000 for joint returns).
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please contact Senator Landrieu and Senator Vitter's offices, and ask to speak to the senator or their Senator's Tax Legislative Assistant, asking them to support the Dodd-Lieberman-Isakson amendment for the above stated reasons. Please make this call before Tuesday, October 27 as they will be voting early next week.

Do not hesitate to contact Norman Morris at 225-229-8538 if you have any questions.
Thank you for your support, and feel free to contact Norman on any feedback you receive from your call.
