ignore fear: Like Raccoons & Skaters...Make Fear A Non Issue - 12/04/09 07:02 AM
On Monday I referred to Susan Jeffers' book Feel The Fear...and Do It Anyway. For me, the best fearure of the book was the five truths about fear that she identified early in the book. On Wednesday and again yesterday I saw illustrations of her Truth # 2: “The only way to get rid of the fear of doing something is to go out and do it.” Since it relates to ignoring fear...one of the things we can learn from raccoons...I decided to share my observations with you. “Falling is Fun” On Wednesday I was watching the skaters on

As I'm sure is the case most everywhere else, waste management...aka garbage collection...is a big issue in Toronto. Waste Management In Four Streams We manage our household waste by separating it into four streams. Yard waste...garden trimmings, dead plants and leaves...but not lawn clippings (???)...are gathered in paper bags and left curbside for collection and ultimate mulching. Recyclables are stored in large blue bins with wheels as the await their bi-weekly journey to the curb. Kitchen waste which can include soiled disposable diapers and pet droppings (???) are collected in small green bins, also with wheels for their weekly curb
