photographs: Is That Image You Like Subject To Copyright Protection? - 04/16/09 06:52 AM
As intellectual property, many photographs and images are copyright...they cannot be used without the owner's permission. As a strong advocate of planning, I value working to achieve clear goals. I do however I enjoy the experience of events taking on a life of their own...and leading to a positive outcome. That's exactly what happened with my my posts about using images in web content. My first post was intended as a single entry. After that post, it seemed to make sense to prepare yesterday's post about sourcing suitable photographs and images. Yesterday I wrote about including photographs in web content. To complete this theme. I offer the following four sources of photographs and images. Do It Yourself As is often the case, this is the easiest way to get the pictures you want for your website. With a decent digital camera, all that you need is your own artistry to create your own images. Regardless of whether you are happy with a simple point & shoot approach or prefer a more deliberate method of creating your own images...you can do it all yourself. A variety of appropriate photographs can add interest to your website and increase visitors' interest in learning more about how you can help them. In terms of developing your website, it's impossible to over-emphasize that content is king. Visitors do not come to your site looking to buy something...they are looking for information about you...how you are different from other real estate people...and most importantly..how you can help them.
