Yesterday I received received a contact message from my contact form on the ActiveRain network.
Kate Murray asked:
“...what challenges on-line agents face when using virtual tours and why they are not used on more properties?”
Good question.
My immediate response was to consider the relative advantages of these tours.
The advantages could include:
robust visitor-satisfying content for your website virtually unlimited showcasing of clients' properties listed for sale elimination of drawbacks of conventional open houses, such as time commitment and security issues On the other hand, disadvantages might include:

Locked Into The Way Things Have Always Been Done
Last week, I had a conversation with an acquaintance who is a business analyst.
When we were chatting about real estate marketing, he said something to the effect that most agents are locked into doing things the way they have always been done.
As examples, he offered print advertising and open houses.
He questioned how many agents continue to advertise in print media...not because it is an effective marketing strategy but because other agents are advertising there.
