Getting ready for the Rush - 12/29/08 01:43 PM
Franklin real estate - I have stopped listening to the news, and reading the paper. and I feel a lot better because of it. The media puts a lot of drama into any bad news they can find, so it always seems like the world is about to end. I stopped watching earlier this year when it became apparent they most of the networks were doing everything in their power to sway the election. I believe that the public should here unbiased reporting, but I don't know where it would be. Does the media control what I do as a realtor? Of (6 comments)

Franklin tn During the Holidays - 12/16/08 10:31 AM
Franklin is always a nice place to visit. But during the Christmas holiday, they really put on a show. The main streets and town square are tastefully decorated, and the locals dress as if the were living an another century. You may recognize the period from the Charles Dickens tales, and it's all in fun. Treat yourself to a little fun this holiday. Visit Franklin for the weekend and then buy a house. Everyone agrees that it's a great place to visit, but it's even better to live there. For more details on Christmas events in Franklin, vist the Franklin Tn (4 comments)
Leipers Fork Christmas - 12/16/08 09:22 AM
Leipers fork is a small community just a few miles from Franklin in Williamson county. The community has maintained it's historic small town appearance, and has become somewhat of a tourist hot spot due to the concentration of celebrities who live in the area. Most of the homes in the area are located on lots of at least 5 acres, and the population of the community is still very small, and the residents seem to want it to stay that way. Here are a few pictures of the Christmas parade from my friend Merrill Osborne. To search for Franklin tn Real (0 comments)
It's Bigger than I thought - Colder too - 12/15/08 10:08 PM
Last week, I spent over 20 hours in an airplane with Elizabeth so that I would have the pleasure of experiencing Alaska. Why would we go to Alaska in the winter time you might ask. Elizabeth was training one of the local hospitals on the use of the software products that her company developes and maintains. I was just there for moral support.
While I was there. i learned a few things about Alaska that I had guessed, but really didn't appreciate until I had a chance to see it in person. It's cold. The 5 days I was in (5 comments)
Marketing Nashville real estate on a national level - 12/05/08 02:30 PM
Nashville real estate - I have had more phone calls, e-mails, text messages, and contracts from strangers about Nashville and Franklin real estate, than from my sphere of influence for the first time in my career. Most of these people are from other states, but all have the same thing in common. The want to purchase Nashville real estate, and they found me, or my listings on the web. either from my blogs, or my websites. I have to admit, that I was a non-believer at first. I really didn't think that this environment would really generate many Nashville real estate (4 comments)
Keller Williams in Franklin has been having a free real estate technology class weekly for the last 8 weeks. The purpose was to educate real estate professionals about the advantages of blogging, and optimizing websites to take advantage of the tools that we have at our disposal. The realtors, home inspectors, and mortgage brokers who have attended have all been able to improve their online exposure just by understanding search engine oprimization, and small things you can do to improve your blogs and websites. The class this week was smaller than usual because of the holidays, and because some of the normal students (2 comments)
I want trees with my Nashville Homes - 12/02/08 04:11 PM
Nashville real estate - I have a client who was transferred here from Oregon, and when they picked out several homes to view, none seemed special, or even similar. I'm a pretty quick guy, but this one had me stumped. But I didn't say anything until we had looked at a couple, and then I asked my questions. Why did you like the house? It had trees in the back. I can't have a house without mature trees. OK, this is unusually for the Nashville customers I've had in the past. Most like trees, but they don't use it as a (4 comments)
Will you help me find my Agent - 12/01/08 08:32 PM
Nashville real estate - I talked to a lady over the weekend who will need to sell her home in Nashville soon, in preparations for moving out of state. After the typical questions about the commission rates, and how many homes I had sold in Nashville, how was the market, what's her house worth, you know the usual stuff. She hits me with this. Can you help me find my agent? What do you mean? The agent who helped me buy this home she says. Does she send you post cards? no. Does she ever call you just to stay in touch? (28 comments)
Book MEME from Vanessa - 12/01/08 03:03 PM
Here is my book MEME in respons from Vanessa Stalets. I guess the idea is to pass a lot of links, so here it comes. The book is Partisans and Redcoats. The southern conflict that turned the tide of the American Revolution. The governor way staying at Rugeley's Mill north of Camden. Warned of tarleton's approach, he fled in the middle of the night. Several hours later,Tarleton's advance guard reached the mill. Buford's forces were about 20 miles away in Waxhaws settlement. Tarleton's men were exhausted and outnumbered by more than 2 to 1, but he acted as he always did-Boldly (1 comments)
