I seem to repeating the same information over and over, but the trend has been accelerating and I fear the worst for the potential buyers who have yet to purchase a Franklin Tn home. Dr. David Snowden district director of Franklin Special Schools is is proposing rezoning the schools as an "effort to look at equity across the district in several areas".
The Franklin Special School District is a K-8 school system with approximately 3,800 students enrolled. There are seven schools: four elementary schools (K-4), one intermediate school (5-6), one middle school (7-8), and a balanced calendar, K-8 school.
Snowden said the district has long been concerned with the socio-economic balance in the entire district, as well as in individual schools.

Westhaven Home Sales in September - Sales of homes in Westhaven are almost double the same month in 2009 with 9 homes sold at an average price of $602,088. This compares to 5 homes old in September 2009 at an average price of $393,362. With the opening of the Westhhaven golf course, and the elementary school, we expect even more acceleration of sales of homes in Westhaven.

Speechless Sunday - If you like good music, wine, crisp clear weather, and beautiful scenery, and evening at Arrington Vineyards right outside of Franklin might be for you. Yes the weather has changed for the better. We are seeing highs in the mid 80's now, and cool evenings. Most of us call it perfect.

Speechless Sunday with a photo from my friend Merril Osborne. He lives on the west side of Franklin very close to the Natchez Trace and a lot of wildlife seems to hang out on his back porch. I suspect that he might have some special treats that they can't resist. He sent this picture a couple of days ago, and i'm sure i'll gat a lot more like this.

Friday foto - The Factory in Franklin
If you've never been to the Factory in Franklin, It's a building that has been somewhat restored to t's current condition and converted into retail shops. It seems strange, but it works well for small mom and pop types of businesses who are out of place in a conventional mall environment, I thought this was interesting, and couldn't resist taking the picture with my Iphone.

Just another day in paradise. Thats what we call Franklin most of the time. Low taxes, very little crime, great schools, and southern hospitality. All of these things are what you expect when visit Franklin, and it doesn't change when you move here. Williamson county in general is know as a great place to live, and Franklin has been on many lists as one one the best places to own a business. So pack up your things and come on over. This past weekend, the annual Chukkers for charity event was held in Franklin TN. It's a shame that we don't have more of these types of events, because it's a nice way to spend your Saturday afternoon.
For those who don't know a lot about polo, here is my take on it. It's a lot like soccer on a horse. The field is 300 yards long, and you don't have a goalie. You can get really close to the action, but be careful, the horses do sometimes run past the edge of the field into to the spectator area.

Westhaven Pool in Franklin - I had someone ask me this question yesterday, and I really didn't even have to think about it. In my opinion, based on the pool areas that I've seen (I'm sure I've seen them all), Westhaven has the best community pool in Franklin. I would even say that Westhaven has the best pool area in Nashville.
