Dr. David Snowden district director of Franklin Special Schools is is proposing rezoning the schools as an "effort to look at equity across the district in several areas". 
The Franklin Special School District is a K-8 school system with approximately 3,800 students enrolled. There are seven schools: four elementary schools (K-4), one intermediate school (5-6), one middle school (7-8), and a balanced calendar, K-8 school.
Snowden said the district has long been concerned with the socio-economic balance in the entire district, as well as in individual schools.

Just another day in paradise. Thats what we call Franklin most of the time. Low taxes, very little crime, great schools, and southern hospitality. All of these things are what you expect when visit Franklin, and it doesn't change when you move here. Williamson county in general is know as a great place to live, and Franklin has been on many lists as one one the best places to own a business. So pack up your things and come on over. Puckett's Grocery - A nice place to eat lunch in downtown Franklin TN. To outsiders, this seems a little odd, but in Leipers fork, Puckett's is one of the few places you can get a meal. So over time they became know as a great place to eat home cooked country style food, and they are famous for their sweet potato fries.
  So they decided to open another Puckett's in downtown Franklin. The food is the same, and the entertainment at night can be amazing. After all, this is where a lot of the songwriters and stars live.

Even with this decrease, you can see that long term, the investment in real estate has shown a 4 percent annualized increase for the last 10 years. This coming at the bottom of the Franklin Tn real estate market.
I suspect that investing in  Franklin Tn Real Estate will be a low risk, high return investment for the future.

Is it still a buyers market in Franklin Tn -  Looking at the statistics, I'm not so sure that buyers have as much control as they did just a few weeks ago. I'm hearing of multiple offers on Franklin homes almost daily now, and the best homes in the lower price ranges only stay on the market for a few days.
 I know that this is not what buyers want to hear, but the market is changing, and we have to adjust with it.

Grandparents love Westhaven -

I had a discussion today about the demographics of buyers in Westhaven, and the fact that a lot of the buyers are grandparents is something that escaped me.
Then I started thinking about the whole concept of a small town, most homes are in walking distance to the Publix, the Vanderbilt Clinic, the golf course, the fitness center and water park, and I guess for most retired people Westhaven is as good as it gets.

Franklin's Mayor and Board of ALdermen have yet to decide on the design of the Goose Creek exit."We don't have all the information ready to present to the board," said Mayor John Schroer. "We are still waiting to hear back from TDOT."
The state has said if Franklin officials do not want to spend the additional $4.8 million for the SPUI, they will redesign the project, but the city will have to pay for the design work already done. Franklin real estate - During my open house last week, I had a visitor from Ohio, who needed some help, and since she didn't know anyone in Franklin, I was the lucky one. She said that my listing looked great, but she was only interested in foreclosures.
I try to make a habit of going with flow, don't make waves, the customer is always right. But in this case, she was wrong.
