This was a rough week. The market is slow and many of my customers are getting frustrated. I had one customer listed for about 3 years and finaly got our first offer $49000 below the asking price. Great people who I admired.Of course the offer wasn't acceptable but it was the only one we had.

       I had mostly dealt with the husband but it was the wife that called me up and fired me. Of course I was dissapointed because I liked them but I had listed 3 properties this week where other people had fired their agents and called me. Welcome to a buyers market. This is the nature of the business and why many agents become cynical and no longer care about their customers.This is why appreciation is the greatest human want. It is the greatest human want because it is so rare.We face so much more rejection through out our lives than appreciation.

  Many people carry rejection of some form or another through out their whole lives never really overcoming it and never feeling appreciated.Rejection is the single biggest cause of low self esteem. Rejection by a parent, teacher, lover or anyone you admire and care for can scar you for life. They say 50 % of marriages end up in divorce . In most cases one person is rejecting the other. Just think about that 50 % imagine how many people are struggling with rejection.

  One of the main benifits of being a Christian and believing in God is the knowledge that God loves us and will never reject us. I don't mean this to be any type of religious rant. Many faiths have the LOVE of God as their foundation. I want to demonstrate how that Love from God helped me this week. I was upset when I was fired because I liked this couple. I have some customers I would love to fire myself because they just aren't very nice. At first I was angrey because I felt unappreciated but my faith helped me understand their frustration and that I was to forgive and move on. I asked God to help me to understand and give me strength. (I confess to being a little less than 100% having had open heart surgery in March) Today being Friday I wasn't focused or productive and found myself doing some posting on facebook. I posted a pretty poor video and recieved an invite to chat from one of my customer/friends.
