Governor signs home tax credit bill Governor Schwarzenegger today signed AB 183 providing $200 million for home buyer tax credits. The bill allocates $100 million for qualified first-time home buyers who purchase existing homes and $100 million for purchasers of new, or previously unoccupied, homes. Four of the top cities in the state for median home price gains in December are in Orange County, according to the California Association of Realtors.
At the top of that list is Laguna Hills, with a 62.9% jump. San Juan Capistrano, Tustin and Costa Mesa follow; See the chart at right for details.
