newport beach: Is it unethical to point out false advertising to the public? Costa Mesa Real Estate - 08/23/10 03:32 AM
Good Article!  We have the same problem here in Costa Mesa CA!  No one has closed 100% of these unless they have only sold one or they refuse to take their head out of the sand about these tough but makeable transactions!  Rookie's should not attempt these!

Some of my recent posts have focused on the Phoenix Short Sale "wannabe" listing agents that blatantly lie about their Phoenix Short Sale track record - presumably in the hopes of getting unsuspecting consumers to list with them.
I can see a Phoenix homeowner facing foreclosure being swayed by claims of "we've closed … (2 comments)

newport beach: LITTLE STEPS UP TO THE LEAP! - 12/22/09 02:19 AM

As you've already read here, conditions are ripe to become a homeowner, and it's time to determine if you're ready to make the leap.  While the price of the home is the largest factor, don't forget about loan fees and closing costs, which add to your total financed amount.
Since banks are stricter in their lending, Step One is to polish up your credit report.  A higher score gives you more power when it comes to negotiating terms and interest rates.
Similarly, a larger downpayment will positively affect your mortgage terms and reduce the amount you have to finance.  If … (0 comments)

Over the last 6 months the trend has been increasing has buyers are snatching up short sales and bank repos.  Prices have dropped by more than 30% in some areas of Orange County to has high as 50% in Santa Ana and Anaheim.  It appears that the market will remain strong for repos over the next 6 - 12 months. newport beach: Knowledge Is Power! - 06/09/08 11:41 AM
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
You know that real estate agents help you to move.  Did you know that agents can also help you stay where you are?  This has become quite an issue in light of the recent rise in loan defaults.  Real estate agents provide critical information and a link between lenders and buyers.

No one - not banks, not … (0 comments)

newport beach: Know The Difference! - 05/02/08 02:23 AM
KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!
How much home can you afford?  How do you even begin to find the answer to that question?  You've probably heard terms like "pre-approval" and "pre-qualification" tossed around, but do you understand the critical difference between those two?  If your answer is "no," then please read on to avoid major disappointment when you make your offer.
"Pre-qualification" is a fine place to start, but if you're really serious about the time and money you're going to invest in purchasing a home, you'll really want to focus on "pre-approval."  Approval, and not just qualification, is secured when you complete and submit … (0 comments)
