That's right. The magic green bar is updating again. Doing a random check it seems the page rank update was fairly generous with Active rain and localism. It seems most agent profiles there on localism are showing a pr of 3 and AR profiles a pr of 4. Of course, the tool bar is the last thing to be "updated".
Some of you back east may not be seeing the changes yet (at least Ken Smith hasn't yet). Will it make a difference? Not really, although pr will show you just how trusted your site is to Google. So take it … (21 comments)

I meant to put up a special post for number 100, but I missed the boat. Earlier today I had a great idea for this post. I sat down at my desk, waited anxiously for my pc to boot. I clicked internet explorer, clicked my link to ar and .... couldn't pull the site up. Doh! I tried again and then got a message that the system was down for maintenance....

Today it seems is the day to post about search engines, page rank and backlinks. Matt put up a post about the Google page rank update and I had put up some posts about MSN Live and Google Backlinks as well. I was reading through Matt's post about the Google Page Rank Update. Woo Hoo! I was wondering what page rank member profiles went up to. Ours went to a 3 for the http://activerain.com/lasvegasrealestate profile and 2 for the http://activerain.com/blogs/lasvegasrealestate section. Google also updated the back links for AR as well. Our site stayed at 5 but most of the community pages went to 4 and the state link pages to 3.
The profile is showing 89 backlinks and the blog is showing 55. Not bad considering how new the site is. You can check them using the google toolbar by pressing the … (2 comments)

I just signed up with Lowe's realtor benefits. Been meaning to do it for a while, but just never got around to it. So far, I'm very impressed. For those you that are relatively new to the workings of a website, there are lot of terms you may be unfamiliar with. One of the questions raised in the comments on my Active Rain traffic post, was what is a session. In practical terms, a session is a visit from a web surfer that actual spends time on your website. Web traffic is divided up into hits, sessions, returning users and unique or first time visitors.
