spam: It's not the IRS - 05/20/08 08:00 PM
It seems that everyone is trying to get their hands on your stimulus check. Granted, it's YOUR MONEY. The government is simply giving you back part of your taxes. So it's not surprising that the scammers are trying to get in on the action. spam: Spam - 05/10/08 07:29 PM
Spam. It's everywhere and in every form. From the same leaflets plastered all over town to the same generic email notifying you that you won the European lottery, it's the same old song and dance....until yesterday. It seems the lure of spamming has climbed up the ranks. I received this spam email (at least two to three dozen times) from a former apprentice from season four. Will the madness end? -Charles

spam: The best scam email yet - 11/12/07 05:10 PM
I was wondering how long it would take for the scammers to think of this one. I received an email from the IRS stating that I was owed a refund of some $240 plus dollars and to go the their website, enter in my social security number, plus my debit card account number and pin to collect. The link was branded to irs.gov/xxx Looks pretty good, doesn't it? I even went to the site and found this: Its a perfect clone of the actual IRS website. All of the links point back to the same page, so hopefully anyone that fell for it
