To those of you thinking of selling.....Now is the time.  Uncle Sam is offering a tax credit for purchasing a new home.....has to be before a certain date in order to get it.

With the delays in getting paperwork done, titles cleared, and appraisals done, you owe it to yourself to not delay any longer.

How does this benefit a seller????  You need a buyer for your home...If you put it on the market now, it is quite possible it will be under contract before the homebuyer credit is off the table.  That means the buyer for your house will get a break on taxes....which means they are going to be buying now and not later.

It seems that every spring ....April, May, June especially, sellers decide to sell, because their yards look nicer, in our area of the country, the snow is usually gone (most of it anyway), sellers want to put their houses on the market.  This year it has to be now.

The best of both worlds is that you sell to a buyer who can get the tax credit, and you buy and get closed before the program is over.

You are wondering if the Government will continue this program????  Highly unlikely!  Everything we are hearing at this time is that it will not be renewed because it is costing the government way too much money.

Happy Valentine's day.....this info is my Valentine to you!
