Tall Tales from Customs at Newark Airport! (Humor) - 01/25/10 05:22 AM
A young woman recently boarded a flight from Ireland to the US, and noticed a Priest boarding behind her.  She asked the Priest to sit beside her and whisphered, "Father, may I ask a favor?" "Of course my child. What may I do for you?"  "Well," the woman started, "I bought an expensive woman’s electronic hair dryer for my Mom's birthday that is unopened, but well over the Customs limits."Father, I’m afraid they’ll confiscate it. Is there any way you could carry it through Customs for me? Under your robes perhaps?"  The Priest responded, "I would love to help you dear, but I must … (15 comments)

New Jersey’s new law permitting rebates in residential real estate transactions is already drawing consumer questions.
On January 19, 2010, former Governor Jon Corzine signed  A-373 into law, permitting rebates to consumers in real estate transactions.  The bill’s intention is outlined in it’s explanatory statement:
“This bill amends R.S.45:15-17 to permit a real estate broker, broker-salesperson or salesperson to give a client a rebate from the commission that the real estate broker, broker-salesperson or sales person receives in a transaction.”
While the New Jersey Association of REALTORS®(NJAR) originally opposed this measure when it was first introduced, but as the bill … (14 comments)

Tall Tales About National Security (Humor) - 01/20/10 10:57 AM
You all remember that we in America have a color coded national security system.  Well, I read recently that England is also changing it's national security definitions.

For example, in reaction to recent terroristic threats, the British have raised their national security level from “Miffed” to “Peeved”.

The Prime Minister is quoted as saying that soon, security levels may be raised yet again from "Peeved"  to “Irritated”.

The highest security level in England is “A Bit Cross”.

The British have not been “A Bit Cross” since 1940.

Terroristic threats in the UK have also been re-categorized.  They … (9 comments)

I attended a later mass than usual this weekend, but went to the row I always sit in. (Why do we do that?)
Anyway, as the mass progressed, I was impressed by the young boy sitting in front of me.
He couldn't have been more than 5, yet he sat quietly, and even seemed to be paying attention.  You would have thought he'd been in church often. But apparently that was not the case!  The boy watched the ushers pass the offering basket, and seemed quite interested. As his father was getting ready to place his offering in the basket, the youngster said, "You don't have … (12 comments)
