I've been waiting for this since the first Jersey Shore snow storm of 2011! Beach badges are now on sale up and down Long Beach Island!  All communities offer pre season beach badge sales at a reduced rate.

Tomorrow, Thursday and for the 2 additional Thursday’s through the Labor Day 2009 weekend, ‘we don’t need no stinking badges!’   The Borough of Beach Haven, on Long Beach Island, is making a last ditch effort to attract day trippers and mainland locals to the lovely beaches of this southern Long Beach Island community.

Thursday’s will be FREE BEACH DAYS in Beach Haven!  No (stinking) badges required.  It’s an effort to draw beach goers to the southern end of Long Beach Island to spend money they might have spent on a badge elsewhere in the community.   Most mainland locals, me included, don’t … (11 comments)

After a weekend of weather in the 80's, even higher in some places along the Jersey Shore, thoughts turn to the beach!  And now is the time to think about picking up your full season badges, at pre-season prices.  Yes, we do need those stinking badges, as soon as the lifeguards come on duty, usually in mid June.  The good news is that in light of the current economic turmoil, beach badge prices on Long Beach Island, NJ have remain unchanged in most communities.
