njar: Finally A Message I Can Support - 09/24/10 05:37 AM
I have never been a big fan of the National Association of REALTORS® advertising messages. 'It's a great time to buy' or 'interest rates have never been lower' really provide no real information about us, REALTORS® or why we are important to the home buying or selling process. That's why I've got to give props to the New Jersey Association of REALTORS®. In this short video, NJAR explains what we as REALTORS® do everyday and our value in the process. . .

New Jersey’s new law permitting rebates in residential real estate transactions is already drawing consumer questions. On January 19, 2010, former Governor Jon Corzine signed A-373 into law, permitting rebates to consumers in real estate transactions. njar: Homeownership at the Jersey Shore...Isn't It Time? - 07/30/09 06:35 AM
The New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR) has been promoting homeownership in New Jersey through its website RealStoryNJ which has been online for about a year now. But NJAR didn’t stop with a helpful website, designed to reinforce the fact that even in a state as small as New Jersey, real estate is local! If you live in NJ, you know there’s a difference between north Jersey and south Jersey, and there’s definitely a difference between living down the shore and anywhere else. Check out this NJAR YouTube short on the Jersey Shore! . . Keller

njar: NJ Catches Up With the Nation! - 11/04/08 09:16 AM
New Jersey Moving on REALTOR® Education... The New Jersey Association of REALTORS®(NJAR) and the state’s RealEstate Commission (REC) have come up with a compromise plan that might actually bring New Jersey’s continuing education (CE) policies into the modern world.New Jersey is the only state in the nation that does not require continuing education for real estate licensees. A new day is dawning and it looks like the NJ Legislature will amend and consider a bill this year or in early 2009 to remedy the situation.Barebones bills were introduced last spring by both the Senate and Assembly Majority Leaders requiring CE for

njar: Ouch! NAR Corrects NJ First Quarter Stats - 06/14/08 06:15 AM
A member of the New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR) questioned recent stats released by the NAR regarding first quarter reports that home sales in the state rose by 4%. NJAR took the question to national. Upon further review, NAR found instead of a 4% boost in home sales from the 2007 first quarter to the 2008 first quarter, New Jersey actually experienced a 30% decline!!! WHAT???? In a statement NAR took full responsibility for the error, and has taken steps to ensure such errors don't occur in the future. NAR said there were no problems with data from other states. The 30% decline
